This policy explains how ASWATAX LTD ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.aswatax.co.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
ASWATAX LTD is the controller. Company number: 12923632. Registered office: 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, work in comparable ways. In this policy we call all of them cookies.
How we use cookies
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the website work, for example by remembering your cookie choices, keeping the site secure or supporting forms and tools. We do not need your consent for them, and they cannot be switched off in our banner.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular and how they find us. Google Analytics only runs after you give consent through our cookie banner. If you reject analytics cookies, they will not be set. The information is aggregated and used to improve the site.
Forms, bookings and email
Our enquiry and sign-up forms send your details from our server to HubSpot (EU data centre), which we use to manage enquiries. HubSpot does not set cookies on our website. Booking a call opens Calendly's own website, where Calendly's cookie policy applies.
Videos
Videos on our Resources pages show a still image until you press play. Only then do they load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com), which may store information on your device under Google's own policy.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ax_consent | ASWATAX | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
| ax_v | ASWATAX | Keeps the same version of our website design for you on every page and visit. We show visitors one of a small number of designs to find the clearest one. It contains no personal information and is not used for advertising or tracking across other websites | Functional | 90 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors, so we can count how many people use the site | Analytics (only with your consent) | 2 years |
| _ga_5W28LT4H2R | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your visit (session) for the statistics above | Analytics (only with your consent) | 2 years |
We use Google Analytics with Google's consent mode: until you accept, no analytics cookies are set. When we use Google Analytics, we record which design version you saw, so we can compare designs; we do not use it for advertising.
Managing your choices
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting cookies already set. Blocking all cookies may affect how some pages work. For guidance, see aboutcookies.org.
Third parties
Third-party providers, such as Google, HubSpot and Calendly, have their own privacy policies and cookie practices. We encourage you to read them.
